Because France is too mainstream.

At first sight it sounds like France, tastes like France, is regulated like France, looks like France but on a close up :

You see exotic birds where you expect to see pigeons

You pay with bills that seem to come straight out from an illustration book

Buildings are imagined to keep sidewalks sheltered from sudden tropical rains



You don't pick up apples from your neighbor's trees but mangos


Dugongs say hi during your morning swim



Coackroaches are fully-fledged customers in fancy hotels

 A certain talent for botanic has spread out locally
 

Purple skies are mainstream
